Introduction:
If you intend to visit Denmark, one of the 27 Schengen States, a Schengen visa is required. This page is an in-depth guide on how to apply for a Schengen visa for Denmark. We'll lead you through every stage of the visa application process, from knowing visa kinds to finishing the application.
1. Identifying the Correct Visa Type for Denmark:
It's important to choose the right visa type for your travel purpose before starting the application procedure. For Indian nationals, Denmark grants both short- and long-term visas.
If the applicant seeks a work visa or family reunification visa or stays longer than 90 days in Denmark then the applicant should apply for a residence permit. Applicants can get more information from NewToDenmark online portal.
The Denmark visa application process is represented by the Visa Application Center in Dhaka, Bangladesh.
2. Organizing the Required Documents:
It's important to gather every necessary document once you've decided on what kind of visa. The specific information checklist will vary depending on your visa type and personal situation. For more information on the documentation required for your specific visa type, visit the official website of Denmark Immigration or VFS Global. Before moving further, make sure you have all of the required documentation.
3. Filling out the Online Application Form:
To simplify the application procedure, Denmark Immigration offers an online visa application portal. Fill out the online application form after selecting the relevant visa type and gathering your documentation. The application portal for short-term visas is known as "applyvisa," and "newtodenmark" for resident permits or long-term visas. Pay attention to detail and supply the correct information. Any mistakes can result in visa rejection.
4. Booking an Appointment at the Visa Application Center:
After completing the online application form, you must submit all of your necessary documents along with the visa application form. There is no need to book an appointment for your file submission. To submit your biometric information, including fingerprints and a photo, you must visit the center in person. This step ensures that your application is genuine. Remember to bring the printed cover letter, payment receipt, and other necessary documents.
5. Paying the Visa Fee:
After completing the online application form, you must pay the necessary visa fee. The visa fee is determined by the type and length of your stay. After you pay, you will receive a payment receipt and a cover letter. It is critical that you print these documents and bring them to the visa application center with you, along with your other required documents.
6. Collecting Passport:
After the visa decision has been made, the applicant can pick up the applicant's passport from the visa application center.
